The bonnethead shark (Sphyrna tiburo) is the smallest of the hammerhead sharks. Like other hammerheads, it forms schools of hundreds of individuals. Unlike other hammerheads, the bonnethead is only found in warm waters off the Americas. They eat both shellfish and bony fish and give birth to live "pups".
